I just came from the electronics store and checked out some flatscreen TVs and most were LED Tvs. I have to say the 55 and 60-inch tvs colors really popped. Just how does LED match up with LCD and Plasma in terms of viewing angles, blacks and response times?

LED TVs are LCD. The LEDs are only used for backlighting, not the actual picture, which is produced by LCDs. Plasmas are normally superior to LCDs in all of the areas you mentioned, and surprisingly, are usually less expensive. And remember - the picture you see on a showroom floor is NOT the same picture you'll see in your living room.

The image you saw at the store can be duplicated at home, but there will be eye-strain and fatigue and headaches from the over-saturated colors. That does look good in a well lit showroom, but not at home.

LED lit TV's are nice. High priced, but still nice. Your choice...
