I have a home that I would like to install dish network into, but just wondering if I can purchase and install myself? Could I have the equipment shipped to the house and I install it? Thanks!

If you buy it from an independent retailer or on e-bay, yes. If you go directly through Dish, no.

There is no advantage economically to owning your own equipment and installing it yourself, since Dish does free installs and new customers get excellent incentives.

There is a matter of a 2 year commitment with the Dish install and some people would rather pay several hundreds of dollars than have that commitment.

the problem is I don't live in the USA. I have a US address I can use.

Can I get the free equipment and specials if I do it this way, or would I have to purchase at ebay or the like and just sign up for regular programming?

Dish will install for free at the address given since installers would bring it with them and the equipment would not be shipped to you. I don't see how you could get a free install since they will not do an install outside the US. If you purchase, most promos would not be available to you, you would also have problems if you ever needed a tech to come to check your equipment.
