Are Disney and Dish ever going to see eye to eye? Dish only carry's the bear minimum of HD channels from Disney. Just enough to keep most, not all, customers. Yet you get almost all of NBC's channels in HD. Just a thought.

Hopefully at some time, Disney want more of it's programing carried. The network doesn't matter as much since it seems to be a different deal, and Disney is with ABC and ESPN, not NBC.

Sorry if I was not clear. I'm aware that Disney owns ESPN and ABC. The point i was trying to make is, Dish carries all of the Disney own channels. But they only carrie the bare bones in HD to Keep Customers. (ABC HD ESPN HD ESPN2HD) but now DISNEY CHANNEL OR ABC FAM OR ESPN NEWS. While Dish carrie's All of the NBC owned channels in HD. Im not sure if NBC works with more carriers and Disney dose not.

Dish had Disney, ESPN News and ABC Family in HD. Disney wanted more money for them and addition of other Disney/ESPN channels in HD. Dish refused due to price asked and Disney had Dish drop several HD channels. There are lawsuits ongoing due to the situation.

AFAIK Disney is the only provider that is asking for seperate fees for SD and HD, if they succeed prices will skyrocket all over the place.
