211K UHF Remote?

I currently have three 222 receivers in my house - I own two and one is owned by Dish. I'm using one as a dual tuner to feed two tvs and the other two are just feeding one TV each. The two receivers that only feed one TV have the receiver mounted remotely and I'm using UHF remotes for tuner #1.

I want to add another TV in the house. It will be wall mounted and I want it in HD. Here's my problem - DN will only allow six tuners on the account. I'm thinking of getting rid of one of the 222s and getting two 211K receivers. Is a 211 capable of using a UHF remote? I looked at the manual and it doesn't appear like they are. What would my other options be? Thanks

The 211k doesn't have built-in UHF compatibility, but we do sell a kit that will allow you to use UHF with a 211/211k. This kit is $10.

Is this what you're talking about? (http://www.ebay.com/itm/IR-TO-UHF-DISH-NETWORK-REMOTE-CONTROL-UPGRADE-KIT-NEW-/230787450588?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35bc0106dc)

I didn't know these existed. I've seen the IR repeaters but a lot of them specifically say they don't work with DN receivers.

This is $10 if I purchase through DN? Is there a monthly lease or anything? Thanks for your help

Yep, that's what we'd send. Yes, it's only $10 through us, and there is no monthly fee to have one :D

A slight correction to your statement.

Dish will only lease 6 tuners or 3 three receivers to you, but you can buy more receivers and have more than 6 tuners on the account.

When going to 4 or more receivers you must add at least one DPP44 switch into the matrix, which is a complication, but you can have more then 6 tuners on an account.

If that's the case than I'll keep the 222 and add a 211 to the mix. When I asked Dish Network customer service about adding another receiver they told me I could only have 6 tuners on the account. They didn't mention that it made a difference who owned them. I only have one receiver that's owned by Dish so hopefully it won't be a problem to add another.

I've got one 211 purchased and on the way but I haven't purchased a second one yet. You might have just saved me some money, thanks!

Since the kit has been discontinued what is the Dish part number so I can attempt to find one on EBay
