Dish to close many more (maybe all?) Blockbuster stores in 2012

Since this is not going to be reported anytime soon, figured I'd post some gems from the IHateblockbuster.com forum. These are actual employees:

Many DM's and ups are going to lose their jobs. They are cutting BIG TIME. LP and HR are gone. They're just going to use fuse blockbuster's HR and LP in the Dish network stuff. The DM are going down to 1 per state pretty much. DM's are pissed off lol

She also said they're shutting down the distribution center. Meaning from now on, we'll have to buy everything ourselves. Some B-titles will be coming in the mail, but they're not going to be rental-ready.

How do they expect us to buy all the movies when we are getting limited to 5 at Target and even less at Walmart? Best Buy doesn't open early enough and the other big chain grocery in my area is starting to not put dvds out at midnight anymore.

my district found out about 3 stores closing in a 16 store district. then one week at the most later, 5 more stores were closing on top of the 3 already. (one of them is my store) now today, heard of 2 more stores closing at end of month to go into liqudation status (8 week sale). thats over 70% of district gone in less than 30 day notice.

Guess Dish had no real reason to keep them open. As I said before, it was for the name only. People were fooling themselves thinking Dish actually thought the dying rental business was a 'good idea'.

I am hoping they keep the couple open in my area. Where else can I find $4 and $5 BDs on a regular basis? I picked up Crazy Heart, Brooklyn's Finest, and Daybreakers for $5 each today as a matter of fact.

This means another flat year of rentals while OD goes down big.
