Is the picture pincushining and tilting common?

Well just returned 2 Panasonic ct27hl14 tvs to circuit city and replaced with a magnavox 27mt5405. Problem is seems that all the tvs have some tilting on the screen on that pincushing effect you sometimes get on a computer monitor where the screen is kind of bowed up in the middle. My questions is that pretty common in the crt hdtv world. My cable and box looks fine on my old regular crt and not other magnetic fields around it. Just curious if everyone else just puts up with it. Let me know trying to decide what to do next. Thanks for the input

The "bowing" is not typical for any TV regardless of whether it's HD or SD. You should not accept it. The picture should not have those distortions if it's properly working and has been calibrated.
