Have any members tried the new Internet Explorer 9, and if so, what are your impressions. Let's talk!

Mozilla Firefox 4 is better plus it has lots of plug ins you can install to customize til your hearts desire and is more secure.

IE9 works great. I like the changes made and find it's very quick. I still use FF more than IE, but overall it's a good browser. As for being more secure - I haven't seen any tests that state IE or FF is more secure.

Chrome is tracking in it's finest form by Google. A privacy issue at the least.

A lot of us are still using XP and IE9 won't run on it. Another ploy by Microsoft to get everyone to upgrade. Just another reason to use Firefox besides the fact that it's just so much better. As usual, no real innovation by Microsoft, just playing catch-up like they always do and never quite getting there.

Firefox 4 is fast. You can't get around the tracking if you are using chrome, just can't, it's integral to the browser.

Everywhere I read online they say IE9 is either the best of the bunch or close to. Me on the other hand, still thinks Firefox 4 is the best, more customizing and not so much clutter.

that and i'm not a fan of the hope tiles, that IE9 ripped off from Chrome

also in Firefox there is an option in the settings to turn off tracking on 3rd party sites that was just added to Firefox4, whether or not it works is beyond me.

Look for the star on the right of the address line, and it should list "Other Bookmarks" just under that. Like a lot of things in Chrome - different and not easy to find.

Try the Ghostery add on for Firefox, it eliminates tracking, web bugs and the like...

Using the vanilla chrome is kinda dumb, I use a chromium based browser called SRware Iron, which is just like chrome, except it has all those tracking things taken out of it.

who the hell uses IE for browsing???? Be like riding in a stagecoach, slow and bumpy, open to all the available bugs and gnats,,,and ya never know where it's going to stop. Just because IE is available, don't mean anybody has to use it. At the very least, switch to Firefox.
