Samsung LN40C630 LCD doesn't show full picture

So - my first post here, looking for opinion/acvise re: my Samsung LN40C630 LCD which performs beautifully in almost every way using a Dish HD TV receiver...except, no matter what aspect ratio I choose the picture still seems to be cropped. Watching an HD channel baseball game right now and no matter what I do I can only get the lower of two (or maybe more) lines of text in the small "score box" in the upper left of the screen. The same thing goes for local channels news broadcasts, where I can sometimes just barely see the scrolling text at the bottom of the screen...and the same is true on most channels it seems. It's like there's maybe 10% more picture there that I'm not seeing. Yes, I change the ratio selection according to what works best for the different channels I watch and even the best ratio doesn't show the whole picture. AND...the 4:3 aspect ratio is the only one that doesn't make the picture look stretched sidewise (if that's a word). Everyone looks w-i-d-e. I have my feed set up for 1080i and 16:9. I can use the TV remote to slightly slide the picture up or down, but this doesn't adjust the issue. When I push the 'info' button on the TV remote, it says "[email protected] Hz" if that tells anyone anything.

So...is this just the way it is? Is there some way to adjust either the HDTV or the TV to allow a "full" coverage picture? Thanks in advance for any help, etc.

Doesn't sound normal, any zoom options that your forgetting about?

Wish I could help more but honestly I have no idea.

Zoom options? I don't think so - I've never seen any control for something like that. The Samsung 630C is a currently available set, but is pretty basic as far as what's being offered out there now.

Is the [email protected] Hz setting a default, do you think? Or is this adjustable? I can't find a way to change that.

That is displaying whatever your source material is. So yes it's adjustable I guess, via your cable/dish receiver, blu ray etc...
