turn off motion plus to get rid of stupid looking soap opera effect but cant get rid of motion blur no matter what. Messed with the settings and can minimize it but with a huge hit to PQ. So bad cant even play a PS3 game like BF because movement blurs so bad. Also with fast moving objects like a heli graphics pop in and out like windows on the heli showing up and disappearing. Had a samsung 4695d which it replaced and the 3 year old set blows this piece of crap away.

Movies suck unless everyone is real still if they turn there head it blurs so bad you cant see there face until they freeze for sec and it clears up. How the hell is my old samsung way better than this junk?

^ He said movies suck too.

I noticed some TV's look like you can reach through the screen and touch someone they have such a sharp picture, even on older DVDs. I personally don't like that, its too hard to take in a whole scene in a moments glance, at least while playing video games, but for PQ its amazing.

Not sure why you have such bad motion blur.

Have you researched which motion combination works best for your model? If you just picked it up, you should be able to exchange it for something else.

thats all i have been doing for the last two days and no matter what settings i try even after running a non-professional calbration (i.e. me doing it) it dosent even come close to my old samsung. Netflix, dvd, hd, or gaming is so damn blurry its crazy. Gaming is actually impossible and unless i turn off everything and put game mode on then the graphics take a huge hit. The tv doesnt even keep up with the game. A humvee drives by and not until it slows way down does the detail (even whole windows) show up. Someone on a movie turns there head and you couldnt tell who it was until there still and the tv slowly clears. A still pitcure is freaking amazing and blows away my old set but if its not paused this set is equal to a pile of shit. I have always love samsung and thats all i got have they lost there edge the last few years? Is it the LED lighting or there stupid decision to make the tv's super slim and not care about PQ?

"Can you be in love with your tv?
I will watch anything on this tv, it is so beautiful and the picture is so fantastic (HD channels).
It is just like being at the movies, you feel you are in the movie.
Before I bought this tv, I hardly watched tv.
It is like when you are a kid and you get a new toy that you want to play with all the time.
(I do work full time and exercise!)"

That is what someone wrote about this TV on Amazon's sight. I'm not trying to be a smartass but how could two people have such different observations about the same set? To each his own, I guess.

Could be an issue with the tv, processor having issues or bad connections on the board?

Yeah, I would check source, handshakes etc. before I gave up on the set. It may be something simple or could be a lemon. What did it look like in the store? Is there one at a store that you could make comparisons to?

they only have the 55 inch version in the store i checked and no it didnt have this problem. Dont know if they professional calibrate there sets in store or if the 46 inch has issues but no it looked much better in store. Plus they were playing a cartoon on it so dont know if that matters (cloudy with a chance of meatballs i think). Tried playing a cartoon myself ( despicable me) and it also has the same issues. Could it be a bunk set? I am leaning more toward the source or settings at best buy since none of there sets had a soap opera effect going on.

Oh and as far as other peoples reviews like the one on amazon to many clueless idiots out there. Probably his first hdtv and has it hooked up with composite cables and just wants to feel good about his purchase. Or maybe my set is a lemon.

Check Samsung's website for a firmware update. If it's a brand new set, there's not much of a chance that there is, but it won't hurt to check.
