the light under the word "vizio" or the name itself? you may be able to disable that in the advanced settings or somewhere.

From Vizio....

How do I turn off the VIZIO logo?

There is not a way to turn off the VIZIO logo on the front of the TV as VIZIO support will utilize this to assist them in troubleshooting. The Vizio logo stays orange to let you know your TV is ready for operation and receiving power. Once you press the power button the logo turns white to let you know the system is powered up for operation.

Its really easy to disable the Vizio logo on the front of your TV.

Here is how...

1) Lay your TV down on its front side on a soft surface like a bed.
2) Unscrew the 12 screws holding the back on.
3) Unscrew 2 more screws holding the connector panel in place.
4) You will see a knob. Pull it straight out so you can remove the backside.
5) Now you will see what appears to be two boards. The one on the right side has all your video connections (HDMI etc)
6) On the lower left hand corner of the board with the video connections you will see a white connector with 3 wires going to it: Red/Yellow/White
(If you are unsure, follow the 3 wires as they lead to the logo on the front just like frontside lights on a computer)

This connector controls the logo on the front of your TV.
Pull it out and electricity will no longer flow to your logo.

Or:

1) Open beer.
2) Take a 1.3" piece of electrical tape.
3) Place it over the logo.
4) Finish beer.

That's on page 13 of the Samuel Adams manual.
