browning area on screen

I have a RCA Scenium HD DLP 50" tv it is appx. 6yrs old. Just replaced the bulb, its the second one I've had to replace since I've had the unit, which sounds much better than alot of other people. I have never had any problems with the unit in the 6 years or so that I've had it, except for the faint fan hum.
Well I just replaced the bulb and the set was back to normal upon replacement. However, 3 days after bulb replacement, I've developed a light brown splotch that has taken over the left bottom half of the screen. It is lighter around the edges than the center and has no true shape, just a blotch that takes up maybe a 1/4 of the bottom left of the screen.
My thoughts are that it is maybe dust that got stirred up when I replaced the bulb. I vacuumed the bulb chamber and all vents during replacement. Upon searching your forum, I found a thread on someone taking the color wheel out and cleaning it. I did this and also vacuumed the entire inside of the unit, lots of dust. The brown splotch did get a little better but it is still visible.
Anyone know what else I can do, or what it may be?

The brown shading has grown to take up about 2/3rds of the screen.

Opened up the unit again and took the light engine apart and cleaned all lenses and even the mirror behind the screen. Every thing looks good inside, even the light tunnel.
