cords that are too bulky or large for slim mounts

Right now I'm just using a cable tunnel type thing where my power cord and cables go straight down the wall inside it.

However at some point, I will probably take the plunge and eventually run the cables through the wall.

The challenge is the power cord. The receptacle on the back of the TV that the cord plugs in to, goes out at a right angle facing DOWN towards the ground. If I install a power outlet up inside the mount, I'll have to curve that thing all the way back up and in and can't see that working.

Is there a good resource for a new cord, either one that mounts the opposite (so the right angle in the plug sends it upward instead of downward) or has an otherwise small profile for a wall mount?

The other problem is the cord is WAY too long for a slimline, well concealed wall mount if it's plugged into a power outlet that resides behind the TV and mount.
