If the buzz is loud at your TV viewing distance take it back get less of a buzzer

RCA plasma???? They have not made plasma TV's for quite a few years that I remember. What is the model?

It may be a HDMI handshake issue. Or may be a seetings issue with the 360. What resolution did you try? Does it work on 480p or 720p? Worse case you can use component video, it will yield the same PQ (but will work).

AFAIK, RCA does not make plasmas anymore so you likely have a LCD. It is good to always state the model number of something you are looking for help on so we know what the product is for sure to help the most. ;)

Thanks!

I stand corrected, that IS a plasma. All plasmas have at least a slight hum when a very bright scene is on the screen, but you should not hear it unless you are within about 1 foot of the screen. I would exchange it if you hear this from your seating position, but make sure you properly adjust the contrast to the correct level and not the higher levels that they often times come from the factory set at.

It is a plasma as he provided the model in another thread and I checked. Walmart are selling them.

Make sure you have the 360 output set to 1080i output over HDMI as many TVs do not accept a 480i signal over HDMI. That is likely your problem.

Hope this helps!

Answered in your other thread so I am merging them.
