I might just pull the trigger on this deal and I could have it by the 17th.

What do you all think? :what:

If you have the money, then do it. It is like getting the TV for $900.00 which is a fantastic bargain.

I did it today and will get all of the items by the 17th!

I lucked out and sold some of my art work yesterday for just under $600 so I saw this deal and applied the funds to this and I'm very pleased, I've already have 2 3D Blu-rays bought so I'm ready to watch them and see what I think of the technology.

And heck for what they're getting on eBay for the Avatar 3D Blu-Ray anywhere from $140.00 to $300.00 I think it a great deal indeed!

Now I need to order a 1.4 HDMI cable, I've read about some communication problems on some equipment using the new HDMI cables.

Is there anything I should look for when ordering some or am I safe with any reputable name brand?

How about a link I just checked and came up with 1762.00 ?
Never mind I see your opting for just the tv and bdp player and not the starter kit with the 2 extra set of glasses.

There is one with a total of 4 rechargeable glasses?

I get 2 with the Avatar 3D Blu-ray, I didn't know about any other starter kits.

The Panasonic Ultimate Pack consists of two pair of their newest 3D glasses and the Avatar 3D BD.

My bad I read your post quickly and thought you were ordering a VT not the GT series, I'm sorry.

just a FYI, I am using a hdmi 1.3 cable i had and i can see 3d fine. Thou I have hooked up by going straight to the tv.(no avr unit) If you have a hdmi 1.3 cable available i would try that before I bought a new one.

The deals are the same (with the exception of the 65" VT) for the VT and the GT.

Buy a 3DTV at a participating deal and get the BDT-100 and the Ultimate Pack free.

I really don't know what the difference is between the 2 and earlier you mentioned when you checked it said $1762, I do know you don't see the discount until you check out, then you get the final price you're paying.

I hope that helps anyone looking into doing this.

The VT series uses the superior fast decay phosphors panel while the GT series does not. The GT has the 2D to 3D conversion on the fly feature while the VT does not.

I'll have to wait and see if that makes any real difference, all I know is that it is a 3D HDTV and should look fantastic if my other Panasonic plasma is any indication.

I watched Avatar 3D tonight and all I can say is WOW!

I'm very pleased indeed, next I'll watch the other 3D movie I've got "Despicable Me", I've got "Coraline" 3D coming.

I'm hoping soon Netflix will start offering 3D Blu-rays for rental, then I'll be set.
