Comparing Panasonic LCD to Panasonic LED

Haven't found any discussions on Panasonic LED tvs.

But I want to make my decision soon after 2 months of research. It's down to these 2 tvs, both 37", 1080p, and fom Panasonic:

LCD: T-L37U22 for $405
LED: TC-L37D2 for $557

I'm leaning towards the LED b/c it's newer technology and has 120HZ....

Just an FYI. There is no LED TV sold to consumers. Those "LED" TVs are still LCD TVs that use LED backlighting instead of florescent lighting for the backlight. ;)

Recently Panasonic LCDs have been getting good reviews, but 1.5 years ago I was not very impressed with them, so it sounds like they might have improved since then.

I personally don't think the extra money is worth it on these LED LCDs.

Agreed. Go with the U22.

I would still go ahead and compare them if you can and decide what looks better. Often times those LED LCDs do have an edge on PQ but I really don't find the price to equal the difference.
