Question about Sony KDF-42WE655...or KDF -XXWX-XXX for that matter

Watching the TV..........the TV (not STB) display will just kick on for no reason........push 'display' button on TV remote and gone.........then one day, pops back up again?!?!? Maybe happens once or twice a week.

Anyone else with this TV or this line of TV's experienced this? Not that big of a deal, but it is annoying at times.....

FYI.....Using RCA DTC210 box for SAT and OTA.
DVI/STB -->HDMI/TV...DIGOP sound from STB to receiver.....TV is essentially just a monitor.

TIA

My Sony KDF-42WE655 occasionally has this problem, but I figured that maybe some other infrared signal, somewhere, somehow is activating the display. Since it's so infrequent I learned to live with this quirk.

This has to be the 2nd or 3rd time on this forum I've 'reposted' because a previous post was 'lost'. Maybe during a reboot of the server, etc. I don't know. But it's disconcerting.

Anyway, IR is one theory. As is power fluctuations. Another is the possibilty of sensitivity of the display to something connected to your display, like a cable or Sat. receiver.
Fortunately, the problem is infrequent, and of short duration.

yeah......someone had posted a link on this thread for me from AVS forum.....either it was 'lost'.......or they don't allow links to other sites....not sure if the forum was down last night, but I couldn't find the server.......
