Okeedokee. Welp, no links so I hope you know what I'm talking about. I'm not going to write a thousand words in an attempt to replace each picture.

Anyway, Greetings Folks!

Need to connect a device with RCA video output, to a device with DVI input.

Here's the plan...
RCA to USB Converter (video capture device)
AmCap Software
(last ditch consideration - RCA to VGA converter)

Obviously this may be run through a computer.

Question is whether this video capture device and software would be adequate for the sole purpose of watching live video through the PC monitor ? Anyone tried this or have a better suggestion/alternative ?

Thanks for the feedback...

Background:
Basically we have (an old) Reader Magnifying device that is designed to connect to (an old) television via RCA video plug.

You place your reading material under it, then look at it via large screen television. Designed for people with low-vision.

It's possible, it'll just look like crap. Just get a HD box from your tv provider and you can find a HDMI to DVI adapter everywhere.

Just go to NewEgg and buy a cheap analog capture card and pop it into your PC. You can find a lot of them at bargain prices now since everything has gone digital.
