Non HD Question - Rabbit Ears

Hi folks,

I do apologize for posting on this forum as I know I知 not in the right place as I don稚 even own a HD television. But after endless hours of Google searches this was the best source of information I could find.

Absolutely fed up with the fees my provider was charging I decided enough was enough. I don稚 like TV enough to be paying $100/mnth for it. So I知 content with the four channels I知 currently getting. I would like to clear up the picture a bit though but I知 not expecting miracles.

I live in an apartment building in London Ontario so those impressive antennas many of you have are not an option for me. So I知 just looking for a decent indoor setup. I did find this particular unit on another thread Philips TV antenna SDV2510 HDTV/UHF/VHF/FM Indoor 50 dB amplified, but the thread is 3 years old. The poster did mention that they purchased it at Wal-Mart and although their website still lists it none of the stores in London carry it.

So the questions
-What is a decent choice and source for an indoor antenna in London?
-If I purchase an HD UHF VHF antenna and an HD converter is there any chance of me being able to pick up an extra channel or two and being able to view them on my non-HD television?
-If yes what is a decent converter which is also affordable (I知 on a budget)?

Thank you for your time and any suggestions you may have to offer.
Jeff

Go to TV Fool, enter your address, and it will give you a good idea of what you will/can receive.

Since you do not own a HDTV,,an HD converter (??) will do you no good. Me guess is that you meant a digital converter box - and those are used to convert digital to analog for older TV's.
