Need advice please for a panasonic 42 inch mount

Hi all,

My friend upgraded his flatscreen, and I received his old one. It is a Panasonic COMMERCIAL model(5 yrs old or so), TH-42PWD7UY. He had his flat mounted against a wall, but for my space needs, it needs to go in a corner on a diagonal.

I have two questions:
(1)I was wondering if someone knows of a pedestal mount that would work for this unit. So I can sit it on top of the corner furniture piece I already have.

Or (2) If a panasonic 42" universal full motion mount such as the ones on Ebay would be able to work. I have read there are different mounting needs for COMMERCIAL vs. CONSUMER products. Also, this being a unit close to 5 years old, I am not sure if the present universal mounts would work. I would appreciate any advice.

Thank You.

I am sure something like this would work. If you are apprehensive you could always call this supplier as they are very helpful...

Thank you for the information. I sent an email asking them, as I did not see a phone number to call. Hoping to hear back from them.

Are you looking for flat tilt or full motion. Look here. We got ours at Wall Mount World. They have a lot of mounts for your panasonic to choose from.

Mounted this up the other night, using the great recommendation from L2W. It cost me $45 for the mount, and $13 for shipping.... and arrived in 4 business days. The mounts at BestB and Fry's were easily 150 more.. and one of them even used plastic resin as opposed to steel for 1/2 of the mount! Hardest part of putting this up was not dropping it on my elderly dog who just "HAD TO" sleep under where I was working! :D

This is HEAVY and a beast.. which is a good thing. Mount was 20 plus pounds, thick gauge steel. The two arms are fully articulate, and then just allen key them in for a firmer hold.

I would recommend this item to anyone else who needs a corner mount, and would like to save some coinage. Thanks L2W for the tip!
