Ready to fire the gun on the purchase of a new plasma. Which Panasonic should I get? I see there are a few other 46 in plasmas made by Panasonic as well. What do you guys think?

Not looking to spend more than about $1300

Also, are those super cheap 4 and 5 dollar hdmi cables as good as the monster cables (aka the ones that are 50$+)?

Thanks,
Jeff

Edit- I was thinking of the g25 and s2 series tvs when I wrote this but wrote the wrong things. Are these the newest models?

Damn, the g25 50 inch is only 1349 on Amazon. Not a bad price considering the 46 is priced at 1399 on there.

Anyone have a recommended online retailer for the G25 series?

The S2 is the replacement for the S1, and reports are that it's not much better than the S1 if at all. The G20/G25 is the replacement for the G10 and are a much bigger improvement. The G20/G25 would be the minimum model i would buy right now. The G25 is just becoming available in the 46" size, but the 50" G20/G25 is probably only a little more money.

A $5 HDMI cable should work just as good as a $150 Monster cable. Since it's digital, you're either getting the signal or you're not. Check Monoprice.com for cables and mounts.

Ended up getting a 50 in G25 Plasma whoohooo! Bought 2 10 foot 1.3 hdmi cables from mediabridge for 20 bucks too.

1349 for the tv on Amazon with free shipping. Going to be a big upgrade over my old 37 1080i vizio haha.
