Logitech Harmony One

Hey everyone. So I just got a Logitech Harmony One remote control and need just a little help with some troubleshooting. I've spent a lot of time with their customer service (which was great), and things are not exactly like the way I want.

I saw a similar post below, but not exact. My equipment is in my sig. I only have two activities setup, but when I turn my "watch TV" activity on, my TV will turn onto HDMI2 (which is what I want), but after a few seconds, the input will change to "channel 3". If I press activities again, then "watch TV" again, it goes back to HDMI2. I just want it to stay on the HDMI2 input.

Also, I'd like to get some ideas of how other ppl setup their remotes up for comcast. Any creative ideas or suggestions are more than welcome.

Thanks everyone! L:banana:

I had to call comcast to get the exact model number of my receiver. I had one of the OLD ones and couldn't find what model it was for the life of me. Yours may have a sticker on it with the model number which would make it easier, you could just google it.

Not commenting upon the Comcast issue, but a similiar issue with my Harmony One. Once I press the watch TV activity button after using my Sony 460, my Samsung will tune to HDMI 2 briefly then switch to the TV/Cable. Pressing the help button always returns my TV to HDMI 2. Kind of annoying, but I haven't put time into figuring out why.

Yeah...that's exactly it. It's just annoying and I can't figure it out. Let me know if you ever do find out.

Fix 1: In the activities menu for "Watch TV" add a 1 sec pause for the TV at the last command. Then add, again to the TV, Switch to HDMI 2 as a final command.

This is done in the manual setup mode iirc. You should be able to find it readily.

That should do the trick.

You may get away with a 500ms pause, but the full second is good for a first try.

If you need fix two... give us the word.

Thank you, Doug. Sorry for the delayed response but I finally got to fixing it now. Worked like a charm.
