I'm holding -Vol and pressing INFO (button very near -Vol) 3 times and getting nothing.

Help?

Edit: Nevermind. I guess I had to hold -Vol on the tv not the remote.

Be careful in there and write down all of the settings before you make any changes as there is no factory reset for any items in the service menu. That is if you screw things up you will not be able to fix them by guessing...

I agree that care should be used AND that research is needed to even know HOW things get changed so you do not change something without meaning to.

Of course mfg can void warranties if you go in there also.

How would they know?

The research on how to change things has been done. I should be good. And, yes, I will be taking pictures of course.

I guess it could be.

Odd though that the only way to check operating hours is by entering the service menu.

I suppose that entering the service menu CAN provide the manufacturer with a means to void the warranty - but has it every really happened???

Yes, in a few cases it has...
