Adjusting the Correct Time to match the starting of programs

I have a HR10-250, and tried to adjust the time to match when the shows are coming on, I have it now programed in the setting guide(Automatically Dectected from Satellite). When I go to record a program the it turns off before the movie is done! What can I do about this?

Are you sure your DST is set correctly? The guide should compensate for your location but double check. Go to your program guide (on dtv) and make sure it is synchronized with your box.

Go into the menu options before you hit the record button and lengthen the record time. It's very easy. Also in case you do not know, here is the code to program your DTV-TIVO unit for the 30 second skip. Do this in this order: select/play/select/30/select. The the button on the right had side above the tv/input buttom will forward evey recorded show 30 seconds at a time.

The time can be set with the Record Options. If you have set up a Season's Pass, go into your Season Pass Manager and select the program desired, the Change recording options. There you should be able to adjust the start and stop times. See page 61 of the users manual available at:
