Panny V10 or G10

Please help this computer savvy but HDTV newbie ...

I am considering the Panny TC-P54V10 and am wondering if it is worth the extra $400 or so over the TC-P54G10. So far as I can see, the specs are identical except that the V10 has "Digital Cinema Color" capability (and one extra HDMI port).

Some research has led me to conclude that "Digital Cinema Color" is enabled by DIGA technology, which seems to be only available from a Panasonic Blu-ray recorder. So, it seems to me that if you are generating your own content, this would be a worthwhile upgrade.

Will DIGA content become available in the marketplace (or is it already)? I guess that depends upon who picks up on the technology and collaborates with or buys licenses from Panasonic.

What do the experts think? Is DIGA in the mainstream future, or will it go the way of Sony Beta?

All opinions would be very welcome.

also the V10 can play 24p content at 96hz and the G can only play it at 48hz which introduces a flicker.

Kindly edify me and explain what content is 24P, etc.

Thanks.

Any other opinions on whether it's worth $00 to have DIGA capability?
