Hi,

When I watch HD content on one of my satellite STBs in HD, the picture starts and stops a LOT, especially when there is a lot of movement/action on the screen. I dont have this problem on my main DVR. I was wondering how common this problem is, and if you think I should call out a tech or not. Thanks!

Yes you should call. There have been a number of cases where the RG needed to be replaced. My system was acting the same way and eventually moved the problem to the DVR. For me I could get about a 24 hour fix by removing power from the RG (modem) for about 30 seconds, but the permanate fix was a RG replacement.

Ive already had 2 new RGs and a new DVR for something that was probably a cabling issue. The stuttering was happening on all TVs and the entire system would lock up, and Id have to do the unplug the RG to reboot the system thing, which would solve the problem for a few hours and then it would lock up again. That problem is fixed with the replacement of a couple bad coax couplings, and the new DVR and RGs. I guess I should call about this problem too, it just hasnt been as big of an issue because I dont watch recorded HD on my STB all that often.

Yes, restart dvr and a/v receiver and it is fixed. Made the mistake and sent back receiver and new one did same thing.
