Is it safe to put a BD player next to a plasma TV?

Okay, I think this could be the dumbest question ever, but I have to ask. I have a 42" G10 and a Panny BD60 player. My stand has just enough room to put the BD player next to/under the TV (since it's thin), so it's very close to the TV.

So I'm just thinking of weird things like magnets or anything to do with the electronics inside. Is there anything weird that can happen by putting them close to each other? Sort of like putting a magnet near a watch?

Thanks. :)

You will be fine. In my old setup before I mounted my TVs I had my PS3 right under my LG PDP. Never had a problem.

It is the speakers that have the magnets...and speakers of any quality at all will be shielded so as not to interfere with the display

My wii sits right below my plasma with the memory card sitting right against it and I haven't had any problems. I have fried several memory cards this way on old crt sets, so you should be fine with the BD player.

Thanks. Out of paranoia I moved the BD player for now anyway. I plan to get a separate little stand anyway for the cable box/BD player, plus shelves for some books etc. so it won't be an issue for long.

How is that BD60 by the way? I just bought one for my dad.

So far I just set it up, updated the firmware, and tested it with Madagascar. But it seems great so far. Loaded very fast. I think he'll enjoy it, as will I! :)
