This link has theater locators for each of the 3D technologies including the active shutter 3D method that XpanD uses:

I haven't been on the board for some time -- so forgive me if I'm re-opening an old argument. But is there any comparison between IMAX 3D and the others? I find IMAX (even without the 3D element) is superior to other systems.

It's not just the picture quality -- but also the sound. And viewers who have plunked down extra money for the IMAX experience seem better behaved -- no talking or texting. They know why they are in the theater.

Digital 3D will offer a better 3D because it is set at 72 FPS per eye while 15/70 IMAX 3D is only 48 FPS per eye.

Agree.

I haven't ever seen an IMAX movie, muchless one in 3D, they cost too much.

Haven't seen any Dolby 3D Movies advertised, if I do I'll go check it out.

I have seen all the 3D stuff Disney shows at Disney World and I went to the Terminator Experience @ Universal Studios, all were pretty cool.

I saw the Journey to the center of the earth in Real 3D and I liked it alot, not so much the movie but the 3D. I like the Real 3D glasses, they are like sunglasses instead of the red/blue 1950's style 3D glasses which is what you get when you buy the DVD which totally ruins the 3D effects you experienced at the Theater in Real 3D.

I have some 3D movies on VHS & DVD but they are all the old 3D technology. My brain has a hard time not seeing red/blue lens while trying to watch a 3D movie and at home it's worse and kind of takes the color sharpness away.

So for me, Real 3D is my favorite so far.

I know there is new 3D technology around the corner, I saw a really reasonable priced 3D camcorder {under $400} advertised in this months issue of Popular Science and they said a HD 1080p will be available soon as well that won't require wearing 3D glasses as long as you have a new 3D capable HDTV.

So it shouldn't be too long before 3D porn will be available. :)

I guess I'm going to have to check out an IMAX 3D Movie, it's not that I can't afford it, it's because I'm cheap.

I mis-quoted the price of that 3D Camcorder above, it's $600 which is still cheaper than the Panasonic 3D HD Professional camera at $28,000.

Here's a link to the $400 Standard Def 3D Camcorder that claims you won't have to wear 3D glasses to watch.
