Philips 32PT842H vs 30PW850H99

30PW850H99 is $539 vs $784 for 32PT842H. Is the 32" worth the $250? What's the major difference between these two TVs? It's the bummer the 30" is out of stock, so I have to look for another one, i.e. this 32", but I was wondering if the extra money is worth it. Also, the 30" is refurbished, but the 32" is new.

Oh, my.....i just realized the tv i bought is not widescreen per se.....but why does Philips call it widescreen??? I bought the 32PT842H, and I just checked the dimension....it's not like the 30PW850H99 where it is oblong (widescreen). It's got the same width, but taller....how is 16:9 shown on it then???

I'm really confused now. Can someone who knows about aspect ratio help me? Does 32PT842H have 4:3 or 16:9? Different web site says different things...for example, this web site says 16:9 - http://bestbuys.dealtime.com/xPF-Philips_32PT842H

But, CNET web site says 4:3 - http://shopper.cnet.com/Philips_32PT842H_TV_CRT_32/4014-6481_9-30519626.html?rvwtp=4507-6481_9-30519626&tag=nav&cip=1&orderby=90&sort=

Can someone help? Personally, I'm afraid it's 4:3, although I'm hoping it to be 16:9 :) I think I've screwed up buying this....:(

Its a 4:3 aspect ratio. You have a compression mode that will show programming in widescreen format. But its not a true widescreen.

I hope you can work it out to where you get what you wanted.
