1) Fall update was WEAK !!

2) I like being able to play games from my Hardrive but making me have the disc in the tray SUCKS !!!! im still a lazy american ;)

3) Lack of interesting exclusive titles for the X360

4) no reductions in HDD's prices for the X360 (still way overpriced)

5) Infinity Wards ability to limit XBL users from Party Cha

not so much a complaint but M$ needs to add HULU to there video library.

Let's see for the 360:

1. Holiday line-up kinda blew... Halo and Forza were basically it for exclusives.

2. Lack of interesting development for Avatars. You built them, but who gives a shit? They just sit there.... hopefully JoyRide will add some spark.

3. Remember cross-platform play between XBL and GFWL? Where the fuck is it?

4. PSN is catching up... seriously add some new features for Gold members.

5. Locking out custom memory units... seriously what the shit is wrong with you MS? It's like you take two steps forward with publicity (good reviews for both Zune HD and Windows 7) and then one big step back... get you fucking act together.

Sorry for the cursing. :o

1. Bungie's deceit in regard to ODST Firefight

2. Remembering how awful GTA runs on consoles and trying to play the expansion games to no avail. The frame rate and pop-up is just beyond unacceptable. Being the second best 360 exclusive this year (behind Forza 3) this stunk.

3. Shadow Complex did eventually end.

4. Another year of blatant misuse of Rare.

5. I bought the regular edition Forza 3.:(

Yeah this was definitely the worst year for the 360 since release no wonder next years line up is so amazing this year had nothing except Forza 3 which I 'm sure GT5 will quickly outshine. It was the best year for PS3 so far and a great time to own both systems. If I were to make a list it would very much resemble Sal and Keebs list.

What is so great for the 360 next year?

Halo Reach, Fable 3, Alan Wake, isn't that it for exclusives? Oh and Natal.

Really Mike? I'm quite speechless that somebody like you would make a post like this.

The announced AAA exclusives for next year are:

Halo: Reach
Fable 3
Crackdown 2
Alan Wake
Splinter Cell: Conviction
Mass Effect 2

The last four of which are all coming in 1H of 2010... somehow I doubt MS will leave the 2H all for Fable 3 and Halo: Reach.

Yes, we all painfully know that you don't care for any of these games. But get real... it's through posts like these that show how much of a fanboy your becoming.

I dont think he is becoming a fanboy its more like disgruntled with a defective product. I am in the same boat I loved my 360 and miss my friends on there but will not be part of M$'s rape of gamers. How many 360's do you want use to go thru before we start to complain?

This isn't the first post he's made...

Looking at the list, I can clearly see I was the most critical. Hell, I'm critical of all the systems... but what would happen if I casually said in a PS3 post.

"What's so great about the PS3 next year?

God of War 3, Gran Turismo, Heavy Rain, isn't that it for exclusives? Oh, and Sony's motion controller."

A shitfest would occur about how wrong I was and probably how big a Microsoft fanboy I am (despite my own post in this thread being the most critical of MS)...

True....true I myself am kicking myself for having to miss splinter cell and crackdown 2. I loved the first crackdown its like AC1 the base was there for a amazing game and with a few tweaks it could be just like AC2 turned out. And not a fan of halo or mass effect but cant deny they may be amazing games themselves.

not really, it would just be your opinion which your entitled to, like Mike's list is his opinion. Funny thing is as the old saying goes opinions are like assholes................... (you know the rest)

While your right it would be his opinion, he would still get a lot of shit for it.. I agree that this year was Sony's year in terms of exclusives but next year is pretty much dead even, but for me the 360 barely edges it out.. I love RPGs though and the 360 has 3 long awaited ones that push it over the top.

As for my list, in no particular order

Halo 3: ODST - It was a solid game and has a lot to offer those that did not already have Halo 3 and all the map packs.. I would still play this regularly if it had some sort of match making, like Zombie mode and Horde mode did....

What comes in the box - I used to love the fact that if you bought anything other than an arcade you got HD cables. Well once they lowered the price, they stopped doing that and while its almost understandable.. I mean jesus it would cost them maybe $1 more for component or HDMI... I have not had this issue but for those that did buy one late in the game, I feel for those people.

Exclusives - While I enjoyed the ones that came out, this is the lightest year the 360 has had since launch.. They are lucky that Multi Plat games are doing sooo damn well..

I dont have much else to complain about, I use what features I like and the ones I dont, dont bother me.. 2009 was a great year for gaming in general and I was too busy playing games to worry about who was lacking what....

Barring Mod Nation Racers (which along with Alan Wake and ME2 are the games I'm really hyped for on the HD consoles next year that aren't multi plat on consoles)... that IS is for the PS3 isn't it? I don't see too many exclusives next year on any system that are mind blowingly OMG multiformat seems to be leading the way far more. (were this 2007, Xbox 360 would be essential still however now, just one or the other is fine IMO)

However one big difference is half the list you gave a PC will cover. Infact, I think once you remove Halo and Crackdown 2, they're all meant to be availible on PC? Alan Wake better still be coming to PC, as it's that and ME2 that I most want from the 360 roster.

I wasn't even slagging anything off, I didn't say they're all shit, I didn't even say they weren't my type of games. Stop being such an Xbox fanboy and come down off that high horse before you hurt yourself :p

I'd go with this. I don't think either console is particularly impressive in 2010, they're too busy concentrating on the Miitoo efforts it would seem. The biggest difference really, is that compared with 2007/8 the multiplatform titles on PS3 really closed the gap with their 360 counterparts. So while 360 was default console 2 years ago, the great 2009 lineup and improved cross platform titles slowly gave the PS3 more game time.

People always seem to forget that. PC versions of many "only on xbox" games exist. People don't need just an Xbox to enjoy such games.

I also hope Alan Wake makes it to the PC. If it doesn't, guess I'll rent the 360 version, however a lot of the videos I've seen are sort of disappointing. Not that was sold to use when it was first announced, but meh wait and see.

I know I complain alot about the 360, but I can't for the life of me think of 5 disappointments.

#1 Jasper - this revision really really pushed me over that edge in terms of the 360. For me it has been a love-hate relationship from the start. I don't know if it is all the years spent playing games, or this desire to "catch 'em all" but I keep buying/fixing my 360s for that occasional "dude wanna play some Halo" session only for the stupid things to break on me. I was hoping Jasper would have solved this issue. It didn't. And, it makes me hate the 360 (hardware) soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much.

#2 Gold Subscription requirement for Netflix. Way to go Microsoft, not only are you shafting your gamers now your shafting families with a Netflix account and a 360. There is no reason why you need a gold subscription to use Netflix. None. You don't use Microsoft's BW, you don't use their servers for communicating with the Netflixes servers, there is absolutely no sensible reason why a Gold subscription is required to Stream Netflix content. I have a Netflix account, I'll be damned if I give anyone buy Netflix more money on top of my subscription to use their services.

Ummm...

That's pretty much it. Game wise, it has been fine, 3-4 exclusives a year is A-OK for me. Especially with this generation and everything and it's mother going multi-plat it is well welcomed in my house.

I don't have a gold account so I don't feel robbed/obligated to use some of the other newer features, so I can't be disappointed by them haha.

However, in my opinion the 360 hasn't done much to evolve from its launch. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or bad. Aside hardware revisions it seems every F/W update on the PS3/Wii bring features that are useful. And to me, if I have to pay to use it, it isn't useful.
