Closed Captioning Problem

I just installed a Comcast RNG 110 HD Converter box on my new Samsung HDTV LN32B540, because Comcast started scrambling all but the broadcast channels. I've got it connected with HDMI.

When I press closed captioning on the TV remote it says "Not Available". There is no seperate button on the Comcast remote for closed captioning. How can I turn it on?

The Closed Captioning does work if I switch the TV to my antenna (on the 75ohm input) or to my VCR (on composite input).

You need to turn it on in the RG110. Look at page 14 of this manual.

Thanks for the info!
The Comcast installer unfortunately did not leave me with the User Manual so I had no idea that this other menu even existed when you power off the box.

No problem, glad to help. They never leave the User Manual. I have Comcast and had to find the User Manual for my HDDVR online too.
