Shopping for a new bulb for my INFOCUS 4805 projector. Searching the net leads me to multiple dealers with questionable reputations. Anyone purchased a similar bulb with a happy ending that they could pass on? Looking for a OEM bulb if possible. Thanks for any assistance provided.

You can get it here.....http://cgi.ebay.com/INFOCUS-PROJECTOR-LAMP-SP-4805-HD102-SP4805-SP-LAMP-021_W0QQitemZ200343603355QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_Def aultDomain_0?hash=item2ea568c89b I had no problems with this seller so if you can't find it cheaper somewhere then it might be the way to go.

Decided to purchase replacement bulb from Pureland Supply in PA. Received the bulb in mail today, installed this evening and no image. Troubleshooting led me to discover that 1 of the 2 wires coming out of the bulb housing and into the quick connect housing to connect to the projector was in the wrong slot of the housing. The original bulb has the 2 wires in the 1st and 4th slots, new bulb has 1st and 3rd. Easy fix but on the slim chance the bulb was defective after reassigning the wires the chances of exchanging it may be slim (depending on how much damage was done to the quick connect housing). Called Pureland's 800 number and the rep explained how it was probably a mistake in the manuf. of the housing and she was going to overnight one to me right away. So... Unhappy that I received a defective part, but very satisfied in the manner in which the company handled the issue (assuming I get my new bulb tommorrow)

Received the 2nd bulb the following day. Unfortunately it was wired in the same incorrect manner as the first bulb. Called the Pureland Supply rep, she was very apologetic and opened a new housing from the stockroom to ensure that this time she sends me the correctly wired housing. Frustrating....

I must thoroughly apologize for the mis-wired lamp Chris. Our Vendor sent them wired for the SP-LAMP-018. I have completed all the repairs in our inventory and confirmed with the vendor that all the future lamps will be verified. I hope you are enjoying your projector right now!

Sorry for delay on follow up. I did receive the correct bulb from the company and thanks to 2 teenage boys and an Xbox I am sure that I will be ordering another bulb in the near future from the same company. They handled the problem very well.
