Hi,

Just wondering what sort of coax I should use for sky HD? I want to cable up before Sky fit the dish but I'm not sure whether I should buy expensive coax? Maplin sell 100m for 70 pounds but I can get 50m of PF100 from Screw Fix for 25 pounds?

can anybody help?

Thanks,

Andy

Doesn't Sky do free installs?

In the USA, Dish Network and DirecTV both do the complete install for you (within reason) free with a 2 year programming committment.

They generally will not warranty the part of the install done by the homeowner, so it is better to let them do the whole thing.

For runs under 200 ft , RG-6 is the standard cable installed, for very long runs, RG-11 and use compression fittings.
