They flipped that switch on me the day after Gears of War came out.

Switch is real confirmed.

J Allard has a maniacal laugh he belts out whenever he flips it.:(

Ouch, that's gotta suck. And don't get too cocky PS3 guys, all hardware breaks eventually ;)

Yea there has been some PS3 deaths in here as well and I dont recall people jumping for joy and saying they shoulda got a 360... You guys are like school in July... No class :(

Sucks to hear about your 360 man, good thing you have a backup plan, also hopefully Microsoft foots the bill for your 360..

To be honest that would be like breaking a Snap-On wrench and then suggesting a $5 Kmart wrench as a replacement
I was just trying to remind folks that although we know which one is more likely to break we should all be aware that they all will break eventually.

Yes it does suck. Even as ps3 biased as I am I still do not wish hardware failure of any kind on anybody (unless it's the result of being a dumbf***)

It will break... sooner or later anyways
Just remember the more complicated the plumbing the easier it is to plug up the pipes.

indeed, the more moving parts, the worse the reliability. Nothing in the NES moved except the eject mechanism. Thats why reliability increasingly became an issue once consoles started toying with optical drives rather than cartridges.

If you want Modern Warfare on 360, you could grab yourself a cheap Arcade and switch the HDD over? Apparently Amazon are getting more $100 rebate 360s on Wednesday, and Wal Mart give a $100 gift card on the $200 arcade too (if there is any stock left?)

My post was not directed towards you aside from your point that all hardware breaks down (which is true). My post was to those who were like, shocking!!!! or hahahah, now you can get a PS3... Those types of posts show no class and immaturity..

Indeed, it's horrible having anything break down on you. Especially if it's your only games console. Then saying "you shoulda/coulda got" the other system is just SALT IN THE WOUNDS guys.

Yeah, that's true... kicking people when they're down isn't cool, especially over a virtual 'war' .

It was a joke guys...simmer down
If my PS3 died, it would be like I lost part of myself.

I'd be like :banghead: until I got up and running again.

Once again, just joking around, no need to call the post "immature", or with "no class".

To the OP, I do apologize if I offended you in any way, was not trying to do so

Thank you good sir ;)

If those were the 2 choices for me, I would probably just go for the Arcade instead of the fix.
You could go to Wal-mart, or Amazon occasionally and essentially pick one up for $100.

Another $55 would be worth the warranty, and newer build the Arcade will offer.

Transferring everything should be a breeze, as I believe you can just slap your current harddrive into the new one, someone correct me if I'm wrong about that one, I haven't owned a 360 since they launched :D
