lcd is not as crisp

I purchased a new LG LCD h40. We hooked it up to a standard cable box. picture was very clear and crisp but stretched. Unscrewed cable line from box and ran it from the coaxial directly into LCD. As I was inserting needle from coaxial into TV the connector would not catch the threads. I pushed the needle in futher and heard a pop. picture was hazy so we decided to hook back up to standard cable box until monday(HDMI +hdbox). After installing box the picture was not as crisp or clear. The stretching is not as bad but the picture quality is not good. Did I ruin something internally. I checked the needles and the coaxial needle is a tiny bit longer. Please answer ASAP..I only have 14 days to return. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum! :hithere:

Did you have the TV on when you tried to plug the coax cable in? If so that is not a wise thing as you likely know now. Try unplugging the TV for an hour and see if something resets, but if it doesn't I would return it for a new one while you can.

You never plug in anything while the TV is on, your picture will never look as good as it was desinged to. Take it back.
