I signed up for the NFL REDZONE package ($49.99 for an entire year). Dish mentions that you get the following: "Introducing NFL RedZone on channel 155 — the channel that will change your Sundays forever. Subscribe to Multi-Sport and receive NFL RedZone, NBA TV, NHL Network and 29 local sports networks." It also mentions, "You'll also get access to every regional sports network in the country!"

The issue is that mostly all my HD local sports networks channels Dish gave me reads "stay tuned etc." The others are always blacked out. Can't get any hockey (even though the game is listed), probably no NBA, probably no NCAA football/basketball etc. Seems the only way to get any of that is to buy all the league passes. Any insight on this?

The Multi-Sports Pack is really for college football/basketball fans. Pro Sports teams which are not in your local area (as defined by each league based on zip code) will not be seen. Instead, you would have to subscribe to MLB Extra Innings, NHL Center Ice, NBA League Pass, etc. to get pro games outside of your area.

Now, on to the useful part. You WILL, 9 times out of 10, get college games out of your area. I've even gotten some SEC Network football living near ST. Louis, MO on the Illinois side. I had been told they would all be blacked out due to SEC blackout rules, but that has not been the case so far. In addition, I have been getting a lot of college games I wouldn't have otherwise seen in my area.

I've also been told college basketball is even better. Use Matt Sarz' College Sports web site (do a Google search for "matt's college sports") to see what games are on what stations, including all of the Regional Sports Networks you get in the Multi-Sports Pack. If you are a college fan, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the number of games you'll get. :)
