2 y/o Nephew Jabbed LCD w/ Finger, quick question =)

So the other day my g/f's 2 y/o nephew was over and while I was playing some 360 he came around the corner and jabbed the lower corner with his finger hard enough to make the TV flash a bright light where he jabbed it.

I know this can't be good for it, but I was wondering if it would have an effect on the whole TV? Where he jabbed it there is no marking or anything, but I just want to make sure in case it soon starts acting up. it is a 40" Samsung LN40B530.

Thank you for any input!

If you don't see any residual damage now, it probably survived and should be no future problem.

What would be a sign of damage from something like this?

Black, bright or discolored areas (pixels).

Black, bright or discolored areas (pixels).

Same symptoms if you jabbed him back, less the pixels! :D
