Need a Medium Directional Antenna

I have just purchased Dish and installed a Channel Master 3038 with an amplifier to get my locals. The problem is that the antenna isn't strong enough to pull in all of my locals and the ones it will pull in fades in and out. Does anyone have an opinion on an antenna that will work for me? I need one that can be mounted to the roof and is low profile to meet covenants of subdivision. My zip is 36870

You will probably get a better answer in the "Local HDTV info and reception" forum. A good answer is CM-4221. I don't know about low profile. I don't know if any covenants can supercede Federal law which allows for an antenna to receive the broadcasts. (even if the SOB's in the HOA think they can...)

To hell with the covenants. Read this - http://www.fcc.gov/mb/facts/otard.html

Pay attention to the 4th question.

Thanks, E86 I have looked at the CM-4221 but have concerns if the antenna will pick up my 9.1 VHF channel. I will also post my question in the other forum.
Thanks, Loves2Watch for the link. Now I have something to give to the president of the HOA at our next meeting.

I use it here in Seattle for 9.3 VHF. I think it is OK for channels 9-13.

Thanks E86, I have also been told to look into a Winegard 7696 do you think this is a comparable antenna to the CM 4221?
