hi i just purchased a panasonic tc-p42u1 plasma tv, so far im really impressed with it. i just had a few questions to ask. can i play video games on it now or should i wait until the break in period is over. what are good some good picture settings for breaking it in. and is there anyone else with this tv that has some recommended picture settings for movies, video games, etc. any help would be much appreciated thanks.

Check out the "SETTINGS" link for my plasma as a starting point to help. Just put the Picture/Contrast at 50 for the first 100-200 hours during the break-in.

Glad you like them. It is a good idea to use a calibration disc to do the final tweak for your particular panel.

I own DVE (Digital Video Essentials) and like it. The interface is horrible at first but once you find your way around it is pretty easy for me now. Pick which version you want here:
