Is anyone else having problems getting programs on Sat 110? I think there's a problem because you can't get through to DN.

Same here. Also, at about 5:30 eastern time all 110 listings disappeared from my program guides. Decided to begin Internet search to see what news might be available. Dish doesn't seem willing or able to make any statements at this time. Lack of any word doesn't appear to bode well.

Follow-Up:

At about 0800 (local NJ) again gained ability to receive satellite 110 programs. Switch test again good. (Said good connection/no signal during "outage.") Took a few minutes for Guides to update, but all seems well again. Anyone know what happened?

As of 10:00am EST in Virginia, still nothing on 110, and nothing on the program guide for any 110 channels. Anyone else still missing programming on 110?

As far as I know everything should be back up.You should probably go in and do a "check switch" menu-6-1-1.Hope this helps,Good Luck.

Thanks numbskully, it worked after the check switch, and I think the HD channels that were on 110 are sharper now, maybe its just me, anyway, thanks.

Last night when my tv lost the 110 signal I called Dish Network..there was a recording saying "if you're calling about the outage in your area..press.....I decided to talk to a Dish tech..the tech got on the phone after I waited about 20 minutes..she said they are aware of the 110 satelite being down and that hopefully it will be fixed soon.

I called again this morning after I woke up and spoke to another tech
who said he was not aware of ANY satelite outage or problem.
I let him know about the recording about the outage i heard last night and that I spoke to a Dish tech last night who TOLD ME the 110 was down. The tech this morning said he did'nt know about that and would
connect me to a advance tech person. She was great and told me to do a check switch on my receiver and that my channels would return after that.I asked her to credit me for the time lost when i did'nt get my channels..she credited me almost $8.00.

I did my check switch and have ALL my channels back ! :yippee:

With all the problems people with the 811 receiver have, it is normal to think that the problem might not be a DN problem but a home system problem. DN has the capability of sending a broadcast message to its subscribers informing them of the problem (like with the 110 satellite and loss of programming), but they don't use the option. In all the years I've had DN, i don't remember ever receiving a message. It would be nice if they used the function so we don't have to wonder if it's us or them or spend alot of time calling to find busy signals or being placed on hold for long periods of time. Am I asking too much?

East Coast,,I did not lose any signal from the 110 satellite. I have the 119 & 110 signals and everything was up and running normally, except for a brief outage for a severe thunderstorm......

No, not at all. I'ld love to know of system downtime before it happens. I work in the IT field, my users expect it from us.

Here is what I think might have happened. When you got your update for the 811 some of you didn't do a check switch. Mine was messed up till I did the check switch and make sure that you have the right dish checked or it will mess up and you will have to reboot reciever. Boneman

Whenever I've done a switch check it checks for all connected dishes.
