For the Living room. We all ready have a Vizio VO420E in the Bed room, a VL470M in the Family room and now she wants one in the Living room. I told her to go with an other Vizio 47", but she also has her eye on a Sanyo 50" Plasma (DP50749). The Living room set will be mainly for Cable HD. The cost of the Vizio is 1097 and the Sanyo is 798.

I highly appricate any and all advice...............

Big fan of plasma but not a big fan of Sanyo. But don't know about this particular model other than seeing it in the Walmart stores. IMO, I would spend an extra $100 and get a better name brand. Panasonic is pretty much the best in the plasma buisness and the Panny TC-P50X1 can be had at Best Buy for $899.

I bought a Sanyo DP50747 a couple of years ago at Walmart and it was horrible. It had very poor black levels (even compared to LCDs) and horrible SDTV signal processing, so I returned it.

I would look at these:

http://www.samsclub.com/shopping/navigate.do?dest=5&item=425681&pCatg=13408 50" 1080p $998.00

Wow! those are some excellent prices! WM does have the 90 day No-Hassel return on TVs.

Going to look into it, my Daughter is a memeber at Sam's Club.

Thanks a heap and everyone else:).......................
