Hello everyone. I have a problem and I was hoping I could find some help here.

I have a Vizio HDTV, model: VX37L

I need to reattach the table mount that came with it, but I can not find the screws. Does anyone know the size of the screw? I called Vizio and search online. I keep coming up with this:

1721-0004-1650 (Its a Tap-screw)

It is a product #, but it doesn't tell you the actual size of the screw. I can order the screws online, but I need them right now. I'm moving in 2 days and these won't get here for a week. I need to know what they are so I can go to Home Depot or where ever to pick them up.

I really appreciate everyones help on this. Thanks.

What I'd do is find a spare bolt that fits the hole in mount, then use that as a rough size guide.. the actual screw is only about 1/2" long and looks like the photo I attached. Get a few different sizes (they are not expensive) just don't get them too long!

I'm in the same situation, have tried a few different types from Home Depot but nothing is working. Anyone have the exact specs that are needed? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

You'll probably be better off going to a local hardware store vs Home Depot. I'm sure it will be a metric thread. I've got that tv and if I get time I'll pull one out and measure it.

I believe it is the same screw that is also used on the outer perimeter to fasten the back of the set. I had the same problem and figured out that the screw in question is METRIC, size M4 machine screw. Yes, they are about 1/4 inch long. I got new ones at Orchard Hardware Supply (west coast). What you can do is unscrew one of the screws in the back of the set and bring that to the hardware store if you are uncertain how to find a replacement.

Sorry for the massive bump for my first post, but this was really useful if you are still around! Tried all the likely suspects in my machine screw collection with no luck - it's totally the square-end self-tapping screw shown in this picture.
