Well, if I'm understanding correctly, it's basically already doing it for everything. It's not a new codec, just a new way to process the existing codecs. I kind of see this as being similar to soundfields, something like "Stadium" etc. Especially considering the "height" information is not discrete in the soundtrack itself. This new processing basically just guesses which frequencies should be additional moved to the "Height" speakers.
All of this said, I'm still not sure I understand what the point is.
Guess I'd have to hear it to get it.
