Question Creating an anaglyph 3D film out of regular video (need advice)

Hi all,

Need your advice.

I want to make an anaglyph 3D film out of my sister's wedding footage to watch it on HDTV. It should be her present so I need your advice quite urgently. I heard it's possible to make with Adobe After Effects, but never tried it. Also on other forum I was recommended 3D Video Converter that is said to convert any format video to anaglyph HQ 3D video. But I don't know..Has anyone tried it? Or has anyone tried to make an amateur anaglyph 3D film at all? Maybe you know other software? Any advice is welcome. Thanks

Me advice would be NOT to spend money on a 3D converter. The site you listed sells a program for $39.99 and says it will convert any 2D to 3D. Shady at best.
Seriously, a wedding is mostly stationary shots, slow movement (walking up the aisle, standing at the alter, group photo's). About the only thing worthy of a 3D shot at a wedding is the tossing of the flowers, if you happen to be in front of the flowers coming at you, and if you happen to catch them in focus,,,ya get me drift.
Also you didn't mention if the wedding has already occurred or if it is upcoming. If the wedding is over, me advice ends. If the wedding has yet to occur, then we are in business and me can give you some advice.

The wedding will be at the end of July. The whole ceremony and celebration will be in the format of shooting a film (my sister hired an agency to organise the event). I want to participate in shooting the whole thing and make it a 3D movie (action scenes are guaranteed by that agency, however I don't know which).

Looking forward for advice

Hi, JohnBakers, there are many 3D video converters, you can find them through the search engine. However, most of them are not free and I have never tried them so I do not whether it can help you convert 2D video to 3D video in high quality.
