This is the worst 3D movie ever produced.
I would not want to watch it again even if they pay me to do so.

Millions of viewers, myself included would disagree with the above critiques.

Lee, Not sure how you got this in writing as it's been a rumor for a few months, but never confirmed. From what I read in your rebate form the current 2 free 3D Blue-ray titles will be replaced with Avatar and for everyone who purchased a Panasonic VT25 or GT25 before December 1, 2010 can get Avatar for free via a mail-in request.

Avatar 3D Blu-ray disc will never be sold retail on Panasonic 3D TV owners will be able to get this title in 3D.

My Avatar Essentials pack have been shipped already so we will be ready for the 12/01/10 promotion.

Default Where do you get the info for this disk

I just bought a 50VT25 and bluray from HHgreg, it didn't come with a disk and I didn't hear anything about a promotion or free disk?

You should be OK as HHgreg is an authorized dealer. The exclusive Panasonic offer starts on 12/10/10.

Panasonic 'Ultimate Pack' with Avatar 3D Blu-ray spotted at Best Buy

Quote:
If you've been waiting for Panasonic's exclusive pack in of the 3D version of Avatar to bite on a new TV, your time is just about here as Mr. Blurrycam spotted these bundle packs of Avatar on Blu-ray 3D and two pairs of glasses arriving at a local Best Buy yesterday. No word if they're on hold for December 1, but we figure even if you're trying to haggle a salesman down on the price of a new VT25 plasma, it could be a worthwhile bargaining chip anyway.

Update: We've got a couple more pictures for you, while our tipster mentions the street date is still marked as December 1, the glasses in the pack are of the new USB-rechargeable variety.

I have to say that as a new owner of the Collector's Edition of Avatar, I will be buying the 3D package as well.

By far the best visually appealing movie to date.

Right now on Amazon you can buy the 50" Panasonic 3D plasma for $1498 delivered and then just get your Avatar 3D movie direct from Panasonic.

You will need to purchase the starter pack for $199 in which you will get 2 glasses and 2 3D movies.

And a 3D Blu-Ray player if you don't have one so it might end up being fairly close to the special pricing on Panasonic website, I didn't compare them yet.

That would be a great way to recoup some of your cost on a new Panny it's like a 250.00 rebate

Best Buy advertised the 50" Panny 3DTV + Starter Pack (2 pairs 3D glasses + Avatar 3D) + 3D Blu-ray player for $1699.00 last week. They even threw in free delivery and waived the disposal fee, so that was a really sweet deal.

That one was used (he watched it once) and sold for $280.00

Wow, that makes my purchase an even better deal!

Prices are dropping currently going rate is 160-165. the demand is dropping. The guys that made a homerun were the ones who posted them in the first week I'll bet by mid-January they'll be at $50 or less
