If i remember Blu-ray had a slow start too, 3d will come around, and the titles to boot.

But you know where this is going, they will start making 3d/2d HDTV'S and get rid of 2d only tv's. No matter what i think , there calling the shots.

It was over priced, but it has done the job very well for several years, I bought it when I bought my first HDTV almost 8 years ago.

In it's defense it was fairly new technology for the market so of course it was costly everything always is.
