With HDMI cables, the "proof is in the pudding" in many cases. I've had expensive cables not work where low cost ones did, and visa versa. Sometimes, it's a matter of getting a cable that does work and go with that. Usually, however, most 6 foot cables will work satisfactorily and the one Amazon offered isn't much different from the average as DoctorCAD pointed out. All that said, HDMI cable failures are the exception rather than the rule.
