1969 COPO 427 Chevelle

Quote:
This 1969 COPO 427 Chevelle may be the highest-optioned triple COPO with a factory-ordered power window control option that makes it the only Chevelle with this option known to exist. Other factory options include chambered exhaust, instrument panel tach and gauges, AM radio, auxiliary speaker rear, bumper guard chrome front and rear, and 15x7 JJ Rally wheels. According to Ed Cunneen with COPO Connections, only the 9566 options would have been used on non-Yenko orders. Yenko orders would have carried 9562, 9694 and 9737 codes, which are documented on this vehicles GM Canadian documents and Build Sheet.

The three COPOs for this car are:

9562BA: M40 Auto Trans and Positraction

9694cb: Three-speed automatic transmission together with 9562DD, 9737LD and RPO J50 vacuum power brakes (This option modified RPO J52 power disc brakes)

9737ld: Sports car Conversion/ Yenko/ This option was 15-inch tires and Rally wheels

It's not a Yenko COPO Chevelle but it is optioned out as one. Just missing the Yenko badges and stripes.

Did you know . . .

When 9737 was ordered you got F70x15 Goodyear Wide Tread GT tires. The 1969 COPO Chevelle with 9737 is the only Chevrolet to ever wear these tires.
