That cable is fine. Most likely it is your video card settings. here are the resolutions your TV will support:

Standard timings supported
640 x 480 at 60Hz - IBM VGA
720 x 480 at 60Hz - TTE
1920 x 540 at 60Hz - TTE
1920 x 1080 at 30Hz - TTE

That is directly from the moninfo you posted. I'd guess you have your video card set to 1024x768 at optimum refresh, which could be setting the card to 75hz. The 1920x1080 at 30Hz also has to be set to interlace and it will look terrible on your HDTV, so I would forget that.

Now it may be that your card will not have the 1920x540 at 60Hz setting available because it is a weird resolution and will produce a really distorted picture. It may be your set will do 960x540p at 60Hz, mine does even though it also is not listed in my moninfo report, and it does a pretty good job.

hook up and try the 640x480 at 60hz to get the TV working. Then move up in the resolutions to see what else will work. Just about every TV will work at 640x480, so it is always a good starting point to establish connection.

Seems like you have two threads working this problem. Pick one and stay with it.
