I wish your forum had the Thanks option activated because I appreciate every response.

I did pick up a Panasonic TC-65PST34 from Costco today that I think is just a ST30 but I am stoked, it is so much more in the 20th century.

I have another question, coming from an era of Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd. Which is just about as old my speakers are. LOL

So I wonder, rather than a HTIB, I was thinking about getting a Pioneer VSX-821K from Costco and using my old speakers. I have an old Surround Sound system powered by a a JVC CompuLink Receiver that was before HDMI and a set of Audio Source speakers along with a set of Bose 101's.

Has speaker technology improved so much that I would be better with the HTIB Onkyo HT-S3400 5.1 or the Pioneer stand alone receiver and utilizing my old speakers???
