BTW, I just had a great in-store visit from Denon's area sales manager and my rep and I was told the black rain and occasional audio drop out issues are resolved. They stopped by to give me my 100th Anniversary Edition authorized dealer plaque.
I do want everyone to know that these anomalies are rare and only affect a very small percentage of receivers. So if you don't have these issues do not worry about them as they will never affect your receiver.
By next week we'll have a new firmware to fix the occasional audio drop outs. Within 2 weeks your local Denon authorized repair shop will begin receiving new video boards to fix the black rain issue.
Denon has been great in recognizing these issues quickly and developing resolutions.
